Wolves land Hassan

WOLVES have signed Moroccan international Hassan Kachloul on loan from Aston Villa.

The 30-year-old has been told by new manager David O'Leary that he is unlikely to figure in his first-team plans and could move on.

The former Southampton star has now agreed the switch to Molineux, which will see him stay for an initial four-month period.

"We have signed Hassan until January to bolster the midfield. There is an option to extend the loan if he does well," said Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey.

Wolves boss Dave Jones knows Kachloul well, as he was the man who brought him to England when he signed him for The Saints in October 1998.

"Hassan can play on the left or right, or in the middle. I'm really pleased to be able to strengthen the squad with a player who has plenty of Premier League experience," Jones told the club's official website.

"I know all about him from my Southampton days and am looking forward to working with him again."
