Ten Heuvel gets Dutch trial
FORMER Sheffield United striker Laurens Ten Heuvel has been handed a trial at Dutch side De Graafschap.
The 27-year-old is looking for a new club after being released by Sheffield United before the start of the new season.
Ten Heuvel had been on a short-term deal at Grimsby Town, but he failed to win a permanent deal after his loan spell expired.
De Graafschap are looking at bolstering their squad and also have Dunfermline Athletic defender Andre Karnebeek on trial.
The Pars are willing to let Karnebeek go by paying up his contract and allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
