Blues eye French star
On the behest of coach Claudio Ranieri, scouts from Stamford Bridge travelled to The Stadio Del Conero to watch Modena take on Ancona.
The watching Premiership representatives would not have been disappointed as Kamara pounced on 54 minutes to give Modena the lead in the match which ended 1-1.
Chelsea are not the first side to show an interest, as the likes of Arsenal, Internazionale, Lazio and Roma have all been keeping close checks on the player in recent months.
Sources suggest that The Blues' scouts were particularly impressed with the Parisian striker and he is going to be closely monitored over the forthcoming months.
Kamara began his career with Red Star in France before moving to Italian minnows Catanzaro in 1999.
He impressed whilst in Serie C and earned a moved to Modena in 2001.
