Milan deny Luis Fabiano interest

By Nadia Carminati
Milan's chief executive Adriano Galliani has slammed rumours linking the club with Brazilian Luis Fabiano.

Rumours have suggested that Milan will make a bid ever since the Rossoneri signed Kaka from Sao Paulo, the same club as the 23-year-old.

Galliani said: "I know nothing. He's a strong player, like many other Brazilian players.

"If we bought Kaka from Sao Paulo, this doesn't mean we have set up a link with the club. These are groundless rumours."

The former Rennes forward is contracted to the Brazilian club until 2005, and it is thought only a bid of around ‚é¼15 million would be accepted.

Luis Fabiano has been linked with a return to European football for some time, with clubs such as Real Betis, Manchester United and Milan's rivals Internazionale all reported to be interested.
