Acimovic happy with Lille life

Lille loan star Milenko Acimovic has revealed he is content at how things are going in France after an unhappy time at Tottenham.

The Slovenian international moved to Lille on loan for the rest of the season during the January transfer window after finding himself out-of-favour at White Hart Lane.

The 27-year-old was keen on a move away from Tottenham in a bid for regular first team football, and he feels he has found the right place to play in France after scoring on his debut against Metz last week.

"I wanted to change country and play football," declared Acimovic.

"It is fantastic to score for my first match in France. I was a little nervous before the encounter, because I was in an unknown place.

"I know the French league has a good level and is more technical than the English league, but I will need time to really evaluate it."
