Pizarro eyes Bayern exit

Claudio Pizarro could be ready to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, according to his father.

The Peruvian international striker is unhappy at Bayern's form this season, and believes they have no chance of winning either the Bundesliga of the UEFA Champions League.

Pizarro's father also says that his son would like to test himself in a more competitive league - and would like to move to Italy, Spain or England.

"My son is a winner and as Bayern has nearly no chance in the Bundesliga and the Champions League he is thinking about the chance of leaving Germany," said Pizarro's father.

"Claudio is calm and it is a little bit soon yet for saying that he will be transferred but he likes to win always so that could change things in the future.

"He could maybe have a chance to play in Spain, Italy or England because those countries have leagues that he likes very much."

The striker has a contract with Bayern until 2005 and during his time at the Olympic Stadion he has scored 48 goals in 122 games.
