Harte flies in to seal Levante deal
Ian Harte is flying to Spain on Friday to complete a free transfer move to Levante, the newly-promoted Primera Liga side have confirmed.
The Leeds United full back will undergo a medical before being presented to the media at midday.
Harte becomes the second arrival from Britain as former Celtic stopper Johan Mjallby has also joined last season's Segunda Liga champions and Charlie Miller has also been interesting Levante.
The transfer comes after Valencia denied English press reports that they were the team in for the experienced defender.
"Valencia want to make it quite clear they have not begun any type of negotiation with the Leeds United footballer Ian Harte for his acquisition, as reported in some English media," said a statement from the Spanish champions.
"Likewise, the club have not presented him as a possible future signing."
Levante are having less luck in their bid to sign Barcelona's Sergio Garcia, with any move now seeming unlikely.
Harte's departure continues the mass exodus from Elland Road with Mark Viduka due to be unveiled as a new Middlesbrough player on Thursday afternoon.
