Gladbach eye talented Serb
The news comes as playmaker Thomas Broich is unlikely to be fit for the start of the new Bundesliga season next month.
The talented Under-21 ace has not been able to train for the past two months - due to an inflammation of his foot.
Gladback boss Holger Fach fears Broich could be sidelined for another six weeks or more, as the player still has injury complaints when running.
As Gladbach's attempts to sign Argentine ace Leandro Romagnoli have stalled, the club has now turned their attention to 27-year-old Ivic.
The technically gifted and physically robust Ivic started his professional career with minor side FK Proleter Zrenjanin, but has made a name for himself since joining Partizan in 1998.
Ivic is reportedly ready to leave the Serbian capital for a spell in one of Europe's bigger leagues, having already attracted the interest of Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besiktas.
