FCK still keen on Linderoth

Danish champions FC Copenhagen are still striving to put together a bid for Everton midfielder Tobias Linderoth.

The Sweden international appears inclined to stay at Goodison Park but has previously welcomed FCK's interest.

Everton are understood to be prepared to offload Linderoth with a figure in the region of £1.5 million likely to be required for a deal to be discussed.

That is thought to be out of FCK's reach although the club have confirmed they are still aiming to bring in reinforcements, with Linderoth a key target.

"We are working in the transfer market and will continue to do so until the deadline to see if we can find the player that suits the club," FCK coach Hans Backe told Ekstra Bladet.

Linderoth still has two years remaining on his Toffees contract and is more than happy to stay with David Moyes' side.

But he has reiterated his viewpoint that he would be amenable to a switch to FCK if he is forced out of Goodison Park.

"I have got two years left on my contract with Everton and all my focus is here right now," affirmed Linderoth.

"But if I do change club, FC Copenhagen would certainly be interesting."
