Sky Bet Championship: Derby County fan Jo Davis named Fan of the Month for August

Derby County fan Jo Davis has been named the Sky Bet Championship Fan of the Month for August.
Jo wore a signed Derby County shirt when she entered the International Beauty pageant in Florida, USA, after being crowned Miss Beautiful United Kingdom.
Jo said: “Each contestant was asked to wear an outfit to represent their country, state, or city or origin.
“The Derby kit was a natural choice for me as it represented not only my home town and my beloved Derby team, but also my family legacy.
“My dad [Joe Sharman] is a former Derby goalkeeper, and I wore a signed shirt belonging to my brother.
“It was like wearing my family coat of arms. It gave me huge pride and confidence on the beauty pageant stage.”
Derby County Chief Operating Officer John Vicars said: “We're naturally delighted that one of our supporters has won the first Sky Bet Championship Fan of the Month award.
“We have an incredibly loyal fan base, not just here in Derby, but in America too. It's great to hear that Jo Davies has been spreading the word by wearing a Rams shirt at a beauty pageant out there.”
