Diouf can go as Malaga make bid

EXCLUSIVE
Skysports.com can reveal that out-of-favour Liverpool forward El Hadji Diouf is weighing up a move from Anfield.

The Senegal star has been told by Reds boss Rafa Benitez that he can leave for the right offer as he does not figure in his plans next season.

Diouf has found himself in the wilderness this pre-season, not being allocated a squad number for the new season and being left out of the club's tour of the United States.

It appears that the £10 million signing from Lens in 2002 has no future at Anfield and the player's agent Alexander Kristic revealed he is considering offers from other clubs.

"We met the new manager (Benitez) and the club to find out if they were counting on El Hadji and we were told they were not counting on him," said Kristic.

"They would be willing to let El Hadji leave on loan or permanently.

"We are now considering the offers we have in collaboration with Liverpool Football Club."

Diouf has been linked with possible moves to Portsmouth and Malaga, with Kristic admitting he had been contacted by Malaga, but knew nothing of Pompey's interest.

"I have not spoken to anyone from Portsmouth, but there was contact from Malaga and we are thinking it over," added Kristic

"There is interest from several clubs, but it is a big choice to either leave on loan or permanently.

"The main thing is that the move is right for El Hadji and the thing for him is to enjoy his football.

"El Hadji has three years left on his contract and there is a choice to be made and it is the player's personal one."
