Neuville wants German return
The 31-year-old has earned 48 caps for his country but was surprisingly overlooked by Voller for the Euro 2004 squad.
He received a further setback when Bayer Leverkusen refused to extend his contract before he accepted a deal with Monchengladbach.
Neuville has revealed that, following Klinsmann's appointment as Voller's successor, he is now prepared to return to the Germany fold.
"The World Cup 2006 remains my big aim and when I will score my goals for Gladbach, I will have a real chance of being called up again," said Neuville.
"It's easy to leave a player like me out because I don't cause any trouble. If Voller had left out somebody like Fredi Bobic, he would have caused an uproar in the media.
"The last six months at Leverkusen were frustrating. The coach Klaus Augenthaler had told me that I was only his third choice and he only sent me on the pitch for the last three of four minutes.
"I am 31, I don't need something like this anymore. Borussia are one of the country's most traditional teams and I will pay back the faith they have shown in me."
