Celtic have completed the loan signing of Wolves striker Henri Camara in a British record loan deal. The 27-year-old has agreed a one-year loan deal for a fee in the region of £1.5 million with the option of a permanent move.
Camara has been eyeing a move away from Wolves since the end of last season following the club's relegation from The Premiership.
As revealed by skysports.com in June, Celtic were keen on signing the skilful forward and their loan deal was more favourable to the Wolves board than Bolton's two bids.
Celtic boss Martin O'Neill was delighted to make Camara his first signing of the summer.
"I am very pleased to have Henri Camara on board. He will be a welcome addition to the squad and if things go well for him here we will have the option to buy him at the end of the season," O'Neill told the club's official website.
Camara was thrilled to have made the move to Glasgow and admitted it is the biggest challenge of his career.
"I can't wait to get started. Although I've played and scored in World Cup matches for my country, the chance to represent Celtic in the Champions League will be the biggest footballing experience of my life," said Camara.
