Mariners sign Marcelle

Grimsby Town boss Russell Slade has made a late swoop to add striker Clint Marcelle to his squad before the start of the season.

Marcelle has been training with The Mariners during the summer after figuring for Conference side Scarborough last term.

The former Hull and Barnsley man has now completed his return to the Football League as he signed a short-term deal at Blundell Park.

Marcelle could make his debut at Darlington in Grimsby's first game of the League Two season.
