Chelsea midfielder Geremi admits he prefers new coach Jose Mourinho's style of football, compared to his predecessor Claudio Ranieri.Mourinho is attempting to inject a European flavour in to Chelsea's football following his appointment as Blues boss.
His preferences have already won the approval of Cameroon international Geremi, who is in his second season at Stamford Bridge.
Geremi has noticed an improvement in the team's playing style since Mourinho replaced Ranieri at the helm.
The 25-year-old concedes Mourinho's approach suits his own preferences and feels it will help Chelsea to bridge the gap to Premiership champions Arsenal.
"This year in training we use the ball a lot more," Geremi told The Daily Mirror.
"Last year we were not training like that.
"This season the idea of the manager is to use the ball and not play the English way. It is a more attractive style.
"I prefer this because I am not an English player and it is the same for the other foreign players, we prefer this style.
"And I think this style will make the difference. You see Arsenal and they play this way.
"When you can use the ball and keep the ball, this gives you chances. If you know how to use the ball it is going to make the difference."
