Celtic defender John Kennedy looks set for a third operation on his injured knee.Kennedy picked up the injury six months ago in a clash against Romania on his international debut when he was tackled by Wolves' Viorel Ganea.
Eminent Colorado-based surgeon Dr Richard Steadman has already performed two operations on Kennedy and now looks to have another consultation with the player who accepts that more surgery is almost certain.
"To be honest, I think it's all but certain now that I`ll get the third op," he told the club's website.
"It was planned anyway so it`s not like it will be a big setback or anything and hopefully it will leave me clear to push on with my rehabilitation.
"Dr Steadman seems to prefer to do these reconstructions part by part to give each bit of the knee the best chance of healing and, although it could still be that I go over there and he decides against doing anything, I`m expecting a third op.
"As to how major it will be, I won't know until I get there.
"The good thing is that everything seems to be healing up well at the moment and I think this one might just be a case of tightening a couple of things up.
"The last time I went over, the knee was a bit further on than they had expected it would be and I know that Dr Steadman also had less work to do in the second op than he`d anticipated when he first saw the injury."
