Mourinho hails Ferreira

Jose Mourinho insists that Paulo Ferreira is the best right back in the world.

Many people questioned the acquisition of Ferreira for £12 million after he failed to show any form at Euro 2004.

However, the former Porto man now looks to have found his feet in England and is Mourinho is more than happy with his charge.

"The boy never gets injured, which means he consistently plays around 60 games a season, no problem," said Mourinho.

"For me this makes him the world's best right back - which is why I signed him for Chelsea.

"Paulo will never get a mark of 10 out of 10 in a game or even nine, but neither will he ever get below a seven or an eight."

Ferreira has made the right back spot his own at Chelsea, holding off strong competition from Glen Johnson.
