Birchall extends Wycombe stay

Wycombe Wanderers have extended the loan of Arsenal striker Adam Birchall.

Wycombe Wanderers have extended the loan of Arsenal youngster Adam Birchall for another four weeks.

The Wales Under-21 international has scored two goals in his first six appearances with The Chairboys since coming on loan last month.

Birchall was expected to return to The Gunners following Wycombe's home defeat to Swansea City on Saturday.

The 19-year-old will now stay at The Causeway Stadium until October 23.

Meanwhile, Wycombe midfielder Joe Burnell is set to return to training after a spell away from the club with glandular fever.

The former Bristol City player was forced to stay away from the club after falling ill last month.
