Foxes let Keown leave
Leicester City have surprisingly placed Martin Keown on the transfer list.
Leicester City have surprisingly allowed Martin Keown to leave the club on a free transfer.Keown only joined Leicester in the summer on a one-year deal after leaving Arsenal at the end of last season.
Reports in the media suggest that Keown had a massive bust-up with Foxes boss Micky Adams which has led to him being given a free transfer.
However the club insist that they have allowed Keown to leave because they cannot guarantee him first team football.
"We have decided it is in the best interests of both parties if Martin is free to find another club," said a club spokesman.
"With Matt Elliott returning to full fitness and the emergence of Richard Stearman, we now have a number of centre halves available to us and unfortunately are not in a position to guarantee Martin regular first-team football."
Keown, who is still training with Leicester, is currently looking for a new club as he looks to continue his career.
