Henry reveals injuries

Thierry Henry has revealed neither himself nor Patrick Vieira are currently fit.

Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has revealed neither himself nor Patrick Vieira are currently 100 percent fit for the Premiership champions.

Vieira, despite scoring against Liverpool on Sunday, has come under fire for not being at his usual majestic best in recent games.

However, Henry has stated the battling midfielder has been playing with an ankle knock and that he has also hobbled though matches with an Achilles problem.

Henry is not looking for a rest and has stated that as long as the club need him, he will be more than ready to play for manager Arsene Wenger.

"The thing that people don't realise is that Patrick has been playing for a long time with an ankle injury, certainly the last four of five games," explained Henry to the Sun.

"The guy has been putting his body on the line. And I've been playing since the beginning of the season with an Achilles problem.

"But Patrick and I don't jump off the boat - we stand and fight. Neither of us are 100 percent.

"Yet, even though I am not fully fit, I don't think I am doing badly for my team. As long as I can walk I will play if the team needs me.

"We may not be playing too well at the moment but we are all playing, not hiding away."
