Spurs seal Mido loan deal
Mido has agreed an 18-month loan move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Egyptian striker Mido has agreed an 18-month loan move to Tottenham Hotspur from Italian club Roma, with Mounir El Hamdaoui also sealing a three-and-a-half year deal.The talented forward has found himself on the periphery in Serie A, and was keen to rekindle his career in England.
Spurs have now sealed a lengthy loan deal for the North African, with Martin Jol keen to add to an already talented stable of strikers at the club.
"The club is delighted to announce that it has agreed terms with Roma and Mido for the highly-rated striker to join us on an 18-month loan, subject to the completion of formalities over the next couple of days," read a statement on Spurs' official website.
The former Ajax and Marseille star has undoubted talent, but has attracted a bad boy tag in the past two years.
Spurs also announced the permanent capture of El Hamdaoui on a three-and-a-half year deal.
"The club is also delighted to announce that it has likewise agreed terms with Mounir El Hamdaoui and Excelsior Rotterdam for the striker to join us on a three-and-a-half year contract, also subject to the completion of formalities," continued the statement.
"El Hamdaoui formerly represented Holland at Under-21 level and recently pledged his international future to Morocco."
