Forest sign Curtis

Nottingham Forest have signed Portsmouth defender John Curtis.

Nottingham Forest have signed Portsmouth defender John Curtis.

The former Manchester United stopper has completed a free transfer move to The City Ground.

Curtis has made just one substitute appearance for Pompey this term after falling down the pecking order at Fratton Park.

The 26-year-old made more of an impact while on loan at Preston, and has now agreed to join Championship side Forest.

Curtis has signed with Gary Megson's strugglers until the end of the season, and is due to make his debut in Saturday's relegation battle with Rotherham.

The much-travelled Curtis has plied his trade at the likes of Blackburn, Barnsley, Sheffield United and Leicester, and Megson thinks his experience will help his side.
