Veron: Pecker keeps me out

Juan Sebastian Veron thinks Argentina's coach is not a fan of his.

Juan Sebastian Veron believes that his international career will remain on hold whilst Jose Pekerman is Argentina coach.

The cultured midfielder has got himself back in form since moving to Internazionale from Chelsea, but has not yet grabbed his place in the Argentine squad.

Veron believes that it is the current coach Pekerman - and not his ability - that is keeping him out of contention.

"With Pekerman in the national team I will not have a chance to play for Argentina," Veron told radio station La Red.

"Pekerman has his players and I am not one of them. I don't think he has a personal problem but I couldn't say for certain.

"I think that he should have a word with me because he has never been very clear.

"He never asked me how I was after my injury but I am much better now.

"I still have a lot of work to do and I am thankful for Inter because they have let me play three games in a row."
