Megson admits Moore bid
Nottingham Forest boss Gary Megson admits making a bid for WBA's Darren Moore.
Nottingham Forest manager Gary Megson has admitted he made a bid for West Bromwich Albion centre back Darren Moore. His admission comes after Baggies boss Bryan Robson had ruled out any chances that the 30-year-old would be leaving The Hawthorns before the season's end.
Megson is very familiar with the abilities of Moore, having managed him at the Black Country club before leaving his post at West Brom earlier in the season.
He was keen to bring the Jamaican international to The City Ground, as Forest try and stave off relegation to League One next season, and admitted to tabling a bid last week.
"I do know Darren very well. He did a great job for me while he was at West Brom," Megson told Sky Sports News.
"I think people put two and two together, but you know I'm not going to tell fibs because it came out at their end that we put a bid in and it was turned down and that was it."
