Fabio Capello has praised Thomas Gravesen ahead of Juventus' Champions League clash with Real Madrid, claiming that the Dane has brought stability to the Spanish side. The Italian coach claimed that any one of Madrid's stars could prove to be the matchwinner, but he claimed that Wanderley Luxemburgo's team are stronger with Gravesen in the side.
"He has been playing very well in front of the Madrid defence and is also very effective at helping build their attacks," Capello said.
"He is turning into a very important player for them, as Madrid had problems in that position before he arrived.
"They were all over the place there. Now, with his arrival, there is more balance to the team.
"But any one of their players could prove to be the key person. In Madrid, for example, it was Ivan Helguera who scored."
Capello is more worried about the result than about entertainment and he warned his players to be patient as they look to turnover the one goal deficit from the first leg.
"I am more interested in playing badly and scoring, than playing well and not scoring," continued Capello. "The important thing is to go into the next round.
"It is the most important game of the season for the two teams. We have seen a different Real Madrid lately, with more attention to defence and more play on the counter-attack.
"We must be attentive and allow them the possibility of quick breakaways.
"The key for us will be concentration. Madrid is the type of team that if you make one mistake then they will make you pay, they can punish you with the high quality of their players.
"We must attack, but not all-out in search of a quick goal, since this would leave them room to launch a counter-attack.
"It is like playing in a final, since now we are in the knockout rounds. And especially when there is just one game to decide a winner. We are sure that that will be us."
