McMaster completes move

Chesterfield have signed Leeds United's Jamie McMaster permanently this week.

Chesterfield have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Jamie McMaster from Leeds United.

The 22-year-old Australian initially re-joined The Spireites on loan late last week, having struggling to break into Kevin Blackwell's first team this season.

McMaster has already had loan spells at League One clubs Swindon Town and Peterborough United this term, but the youngster has opted to continue his career with the North Derbyshire club after signing a deal until the end of the current campaign.

"I am delighted that Jamie McMaster is at last joining us," Spireites boss Roy McFarland told the club's official website.

"We have made several attempts to sign the talented player, so it is pleasing he will now be with us for the final run-in to the season."
