Lions snap up Impey

Millwall have signed Nottingham Forest winger Andy Impey on loan.

Millwall have signed Nottingham Forest winger Andy Impey on loan until the end of the season.

The former Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United player returns to London to see out the current campaign with Dennis Wise's side and is expected to make his Lions debut at Championship leaders Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

The move comes after the 33-year-old had joined Forest from Championship rivals Leicester City towards the end of last season.

Impey has not figured in the plans of City Ground boss Gary Megson recently and the veteran has opted to finish the campaign at The Den.

Impey's arrival comes as a player departs Millwall, with defender James Donovan joining Conference club Crawley Town on Friday.

The 20-year-old failed to break through into the first team as a centre back and has decided to continue his career with the Sussex non-leaguers.
