Palmer: No future for Larkin
Mansfield Town boss Carlton Palmer says Colin Larkin has no future at the club.
Mansfield Town boss Carlton Palmer says Colin Larkin has no future at the club. The former Stockport County manager was less than impressed with the former Wolves trainee after he came off midway through the first half of the club's 2-0 home win over Grimsby Town.
Palmer believes the 22-year-old lacked the qualities he is looking for and insists he will not appear for The Stags again.
"He won't play for this club again - he doesn't show the hunger and desire required," Palmer revealed.
"He asked to come off injured before half time when I would have hauled him off anyway, as I don't believe he was giving us his lot."
The news may alert League Two rivals Boston United, who recently failed with a move for the Irishman.
