Morgan shock at Evans bite

Sheff Utd defender Chris Morgan admits he was amazed to be bitten by Paul Evans.

Sheffield United defender Chris Morgan admits he was amazed to be bitten by Paul Evans.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder bit Morgan's chest during The Blades' 1-1 draw at The City Ground on Tuesday evening.

Blades boss Neil Warnock conceded it was a 'disgraceful' incident which appeared to go unnoticed by the referee.

Morgan still has bite marks from the altercation but is not looking to pursue the matter, despite his surprise at Evans' actions.

"I was really surprised because I've never been bitten on the pitch before," the Blades captain told the Sheffield Star.

"You expect a lot of things, kicks, bad tackles and punches but not that.

"There were a lot of bodies on the floor and suddenly I felt it. He was gnawing away like a puppy would on a sock, he wouldn't let go to start with.

"You can see the teeth marks but I had a jab the other week when I had some stitches and so I didn't need another one.

"But I don't want to make a big fuss, I was amazed more than anything else."
