Tigers snap up Andrews

Hull have signed Wolves midfielder Keith Andrews on a free transfer.

Hull have signed Wolves midfielder Keith Andrews as they continue plans for next season in The Championship.

The newly-promoted outfit have landed Andrews on a free transfer from Molineux.

Andrews opted to see out his contract at Wolves after rejecting a new deal and he has agreed a two-year contract at Hull.

Tigers boss Peter Taylor was delighted to sign Andrews.

"I'm delighted that Keith has agreed to join and I think he'll be an important player for us," Taylor told the club's official website.

"He's a strong, good passing midfield player that I know uses his voice well on the pitch. Keith will be a very handy player to have in the squad.

"He has good experience at Championship level and I understand that it will be difficult for him to leave Wolves as it is such a big club. But we're looking forward to having him here."

Meanwhile, Wolves player Kevin Cooper has been placed on the transfer list at Molineux.

Cooper has become increasingly frustrated at his lack first team chances and is keen to get a move away to get his career back on track.
