Frings heads for Bayern exit
Torsten Frings could be set to leave Bayern Munich in the summer.
German international Torsten Frings could be set to leave Bayern Munich and return to Werder Bremen. The 28-year-old - who left Werder Bremen in 2002 - signed for Bayern last season from Borussia Dortmund for é¼9 million but has failed to settle at the Bavarian giants.
The midfielder has a contract at the German champions until 2007 but general manager Uli Hoeness has suggested that Frings may leave the Olympia Stadion.
"He is simply not performing as well as he is able to," said Hoeness.
"Felix [Magath] gave him 100 chances but he hasn't used them.
"He is always blaming the other, but it's his fault alone."
Bayern have made an offer for defender Valerien Ismael and Kicker claims that Werder's director of sport Klaus Allof wants Frings to move in the other direction.
With the World Cup coming up next year Frings could be tempted to move back to the Weserstadium where he enjoyed five successful years.
