Forest to go back for Doyle

Birmingham keeper Colin Doyle could return to Nottm Forest again next season.

Birmingham City goalkeeper Colin Doyle could return to Nottingham Forest again next season.

Doyle spent a large bulk of the 2004/05 campaign on loan at The City Ground, after moving to Forest in December.

The teenage shot-stopper made four appearances for Forest, after previously undertaking a loan stint at Chester City.

Reports suggest he could now be farmed out again by Blues boss Steve Bruce to enable Doyle to accrue further experience.

Forest manager Gary Megson was impressed by Doyle last term and may try to bring the 19-year-old back to the club on a season-long loan.

With Forest having been relegated to League One, funds will be tight for Megson and a loan deal for Doyle could aid his plans for rebuilding his squad.
