Heracles grab Klavan

Heracles Almelo have confirmed a deal has been struck to sign Ragnar Klavan.

Eredivisie new boys Heracles Almelo have confirmed a deal has been struck to sign Ragnar Klavan.

The Estonian international has agreed terms over his move from Norwegian side Valerenga and will sign a three-year deal, provided he passes a medical this week.

The 19-year-old left back has attracted interest from the Netherlands in the past, having had trials with Ajax and RKC Waalwijk.

Neither club returned with a firm offer and this allowed Heracles to step in and thrash out a deal.

The deal is the culmination of a lengthy chase for Heracles, as they tried to sign him last summer, but did not have the finances to push through a transfer.
