Kezman makes Atletico vow

Mateja Kezman is confident he will be back to his best at Atletico Madrid.

Mateja Kezman has revealed that he revels under pressure, but has warned that Atletico Madrid will only see the best of him once he has mastered the Spanish language.

The Serbo-Montenegrin striker has been labelled as one of Atletico's key players for the forthcoming campaign after his switch from Chelsea and his partnership with Fernando Torres could be fruitful.

He is looking forward to living up to his star billing and is confident that he can lead the fallen Spanish giants back to the big time.

"I have always had the pressure of being one of the big stars in all my teams," Kezman explained. "The more pressure there is, the better I play.

"At PSV and in Belgrade I always had the pressure of being a star, so I am used to that. But I think I play better when it is like that. The more pressure, the more I play.

"Atletico have signed me to score goals and I think that I can reach the 20-barrier this term, but I do not like predicting specific numbers for any season.

"Also, things will be even better once my Spanish improves and I can truly become part of the squad.

"All I know is that I will fight for 90 minutes in every match. I am very much a team player and good goalscorer so we should have a great season."

Kezman is looking to revive his reputation after enduring a torrid time at Chelsea where he was relegated to the bench for the majority of the season.
