Inter seal Pizarro deal

Internazionale have clinched the signing of Udinese midfielder David Pizarro.

Internazionale have clinched the signing of Udinese midfielder David Pizarro.

The Chilean international has agreed on a three-year deal at Inter after the two clubs concurred on a fee.

The 25-year-old midfielder starred in Udinese's shock fourth-placed finish in Serie A last season - earning them a place in the UEFA Champions League.

Both Inter and Milan were interested in Pizarro, as were Palermo, as the South American was one of the hottest properties in Italy.

However, it is Roberto Mancini's side who have won the race for Pizarro's signature and he will undergo a medical in Milan in the next few days.

As well as a fee, Udinese have been handed Inter's half-ownership of Macedonian midfielder Goran Pandev.

Pandev is currently playing with Lazio, and will do so again next season, but Udinese have now taken over as joint-owners.
