Ronaldo: I'm not retiring
Brazil's Ronaldo insists he is not retiring from international football.
Brazil's Ronaldo has insisted that he has never said he will retire from international football after the World Cup next summer. The Real Madrid star has been left annoyed by reports in Spain that suggest this season will be his last on the international scene.
"I never said, and I never even thought, about leaving the national team after the World Cup," said Ronaldo.
"I have been misquoted or misunderstood in the interview which I gave in Spain.
"I am, in fact, going to score 29 goals this season for Real Madrid and I still have a lot to give to the national side.
"I still have long time in football and, whilst I am enjoying playing for Brazil, I will continue to do it.
"I don't have a problem playing with Adriano or Robinho or anyone else that the coach decides to put me with.
"Brazil has excellent players and you can't waste your time because you can lose your place if you struggle to adapt.
"In fact, I am going to give Robinho a hand once he arrives at Real Madrid so he doesn't have a problem in getting adapted."
