Kissi out of Uefa Cup tie

Heerenveen will be without summer signing Abdelkarim Kissi for a minimum of two weeks.

The Morocco international picked up an ankle injury against Heracles Almelo at the weekend and faces at least a fortnight on the sidelines.

Though tests have shown that nothing has been broken, the injury is sufficient to prevent Kissi making an immediate impact with Heerenveen.

Kissi will be absent for the club's Uefa Cup first round, first leg tie with Banik Ostrava on Thursday and he is a doubt for the return leg.

Greek striker Georgios Samaras is also unlikely to play against Banik as he is carrying a minor leg injury.
