Heerenveen picked up a 2-1 victory over NEC Nijmegen on Friday evening.
The hosts had got off to the perfect start when Georgios Samaras put them ahead with just a minute on the clock.
Just 20 minutes later NEC were level when Jasar Takak grabbed a goal for the visitors.
However, Heerenveen's fans went home happy when Danijel Pranjic fired home a winner on 69 to seal a 2-1 win.
Heerenveen move up into 9th following the win, leapfrogging their opponents who are in 12th place.
