Arjen Robben has spoken of his contentment with life at Chelsea. The Dutchman burst on to the scene last year with a series of scintillating displays following his move from PSV Eindhoven.
Injuries have blighted his progress in recent times, but Robben is delighted he chose to move to Stamford Bridge and is now very settled in England.
"I don't care where I play, I have a full scope in Chelsea and that is what I like," he told Pravo.
"Nowhere else is football played in such a great atmosphere as in England.
"I am happy in Chelsea, living in London is great. I feel like if I am in a paradise.
"I studied every single transfer option closely. I had to decide if I had the chance to progress, how the team welcomed me and what the atmosphere was like there.
"I have always listened to my heart and it has never betrayed me.
"I gained independence early and maybe that is why I am more mentally strong than my peers.
"But in other ways I am the same person, my career has not changed me.
"I still have the same friends who still study. I play football and that is the only difference between us."
Robben has struggled to recapture the heights of his early displays for Chelsea since returning from the broken foot that forced him to miss a couple of months last term.
However, the 21-year-old believes his form will improve as the season progresses.
"Unfortunately that (injuries) is part of football too," he added.
"But the injury can motivate me to return to better form."
