European giants eye new players
St Etienne of France and German giants Schalke are chasing new signings.
Peruvian Under-17 players Josepmir Ballon and Daniel Chavez have joined French club St Etienne.The teenagers left domestic club Cantolao after impressing St Etienne officials during the recent Youth World Cup.
St Etienne, currently flying high in Ligue One, are not likely to use their young recruits in the first team squad straight away.
Peru team-mate Augusto Zambrotta is also being transferred to Europe, and is set to join German outfit Schalke, who beat off interest from several other clubs.
Schalke, who are unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season, are also chasing PSV striker Jefferson Farfan.
