Manchester United ace Giuseppe Rossi has spoken of his delight at scoring his first senior goal for the club.

The Italian teenager came off the bench to grab United's third goal in the 3-1 success at Sunderland.

Rossi is highly-rated within the corridors of Old Trafford and has been pushing for a place in the first team squad with some impressive showings in the reserves.

The 18-year-old admitted it was a memorable day for him to score his first goal for United and he singled out manager Sir Alex Ferguson for special praise.

"It has been a day that will remain unforgettable for me", Rossi told the Italian press.

"Ferguson is a fantastic coach, a man with the reply ready until you enter the pitch, then he becomes another person."
