Hoddle hails Hudd

Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has eulogised over the ability of Tom Huddlestone.

Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has eulogised over the ability of Tom Huddlestone, as he looks to keep the Tottenham Hotspur teenager at Molineux.

Huddlestone is nearing the end of a month-long loan with the Championship club and is due to play two more games before returning to Spurs.

But Wolves are hoping to extend the 18-year-old's stay in the Black Country by at least another month.

The two clubs are in discussions about prolonging the deal and Hoddle was full of praise for Huddlestone's impact during his three appearances.

"He's playing well for us," Hoddle told Sky Sports News. "He played excellently against Norwich.

"He's a good footballer. We're enjoying working with him and having him here.

"At the moment, he's got two games left with us, but we'd like to prolong that if possible.

"We will be talking to Tottenham later today and will see how that goes, but the ball's in their court to a certain degree.

"But we'll have to wait and see."
