Weather Watch

Skysports.com will keep you up to date with all the latest developments.

The recent inclement weather is threatening to wreak havoc with Wednesday's football programme and skysports.com will keep you up to date with all the developments.

Inspections are taking place all over the country as the predicted heavy snowfall hits the country.

We will bring you details of all the games postponed as they happen.

Newcastle's game with Charlton has been called-off at late notice, around half-an-hour before kick-off, despite having passed an earlier pitch inspection as the weather continued to worsen in the North East.

Another big casualty is the Premiership clash between Bolton and Middlesbrough, as The Reebok failed to cope with the adverse weather.

Also off in the top flight is Blackburn's game with Sunderland, with a pitch inspection having been made at 18.00.

The first game to go was the local derby between Chester and Wrexham at The Deva Stadium which was scheduled for a 12:00 kick off, which was soon followed by Carlisle versus Boston United.

In The Championship, the first game to go was Plymouth's clash with Preston - again due to adverse weather conditions.

Also in League Two, Shrewsbury's clash with Macclesfield failed to beat the weather.

The League One clashes between Bournemouth-Barnsley and Doncaster-Brentford also failed pitch inspections, as did MK Dons' home clash with Nottingham Forest, along with Blackpool's game with Oldham.

A frozen pitch has ended any chance of Swansea's game with Gillingham going ahead, whilst Colchester's clash with Scunthorpe has also bitten the dust.

Peterborough United's clash with Oxford United also fell victim to the weather with the game postponed due to a frozen pitch on Wednesday afternoon, along with Rochdale's game with Bury.

'Safety reasons' has been given as the explanation for Notts County's League 2 clash with Northampton Town joining the list of cancelled fixtures, with Stockport against Torquay also off.
