Robbo expecting Ugo arrival
West Bromwich Albion boss Bryan Robson is confident Ugo Ehiogu will arrive next week.
West Bromwich Albion boss Bryan Robson is confident Ugo Ehiogu will complete his return to The Hawthorns next week.Robson's attempts to land for the former Aston Villa player from Middlesbrough hit a snag after fears that Boro centre back Gareth Southgate had a suspected broken ankle.
Those fears have now been allayed and Ehiogu has been allowed to complete his move to the club he started his career with 16 years ago.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, the former England captain was a bit disappointed not to have concluded the move before Sunday's Premiership clash at Wigan Athletic.
"There's a slight hitch at the moment with the personal deals between each party," Robson revealed.
"Hopefully, it's only a minor one and it should go through.
"There's been a few incidents which have happened over the last few days, where it's been on, then it's been off, then it's been on again.
"Sometimes that happens in the transfer window, but hopefully by next week, it will all be resolved and he will be a West Brom player.
"I'm a little bit disappointed in that it didn't go through before 12 o'clock (Friday) because that would have given Ugo a day's training with the lads before the weekend's game.
"But that's not to be. I'll just concentrate with the squad of players I have got (for Sunday).
"As far as I'm concerned, as long as I get him in the long-term, that's more important to the club."
