Treviso sign Sereni
Italian side Treviso have moved to sign Lazio keeper Matteo Sereni.
Serie A side Treviso have signed Lazio goalkeeper Matteo Sereni in a six-month loan deal.
The former Ipswich goalkeeper had recently been linked with a move to Fiorentina amidst their goalkeeping crisis, but nothing materialised with the Viola opting for Ajax keeper Bogdan Lobont.
The move will suit Sereni, who in recent weeks has expressed his discontent at the Biancocelesti's ability to offer him a suitable new deal.
The 30-year-old has only made one appearance this season for the Rome-based team, after falling out of favour for refusing to reduce his salary by up to 50 percent.
The transfer will offer Sereni the opportunity for first team football and will also see Slovenian keeper Samir Handanovic provide cover at Lazio, as he moves the other way on similar terms.
