Striker's leg break fears allayed
Steve Scoffham has breathed a sigh of relief after being stretchered off on Saturday.
Notts County have received a boost with the news striker Steve Scoffham has not suffered a broken leg.
Scoffham was stretchered off following a challenge from Northampton's Sean Dyche as County were beaten 2-0.
Test results revealed the 22-year-old Scoffham had suffered only heavy bruising and a sprained ankle.
Meanwhile, another Magpie who was in the wars against The Cobblers was Lee Crooks who suffered a loss of vision after being hit by an errant elbow in the eye.
The midfielder's sight has returned but Crooks has also complained of whiplash.
Striker Matthew Williams has also been a victim of the injury jinx and has returned to Meadow Lane for treatment after suffering a broken foot while on loan at Tamworth.
Meanwhile, former Magpies striker Mark DeBolla has joined Nationwide Conference side Grays Athletic for the rest of the season.
The former Charlton Athletic and Chesterfield hit-man has been without a club since leaving Meadow Lane in late February.
