Marcus Bent has revealed his time at Everton has made him a fan of the Merseysiders.
Marcus Bent has revealed his time at Everton has made him a supporter of the Merseyside club.The striker spent 18 months with the Goodison Park outfit before his switch to Charlton Athletic earlier this year.
Everton's fans made a big impression on the striker and he has confirmed he is a converted Toffee due to their passion for the club.
Bent lines up against his former side for the first time following his January exit this weekend when Charlton make the trip up north to Goodison.
"I am actually an Everton supporter now because of the passion that is there from the fans and people within the club. Plus I played in some good times," said Bent.
"Playing at Goodison Park is just awesome. I remember when I signed I was stood in the stadium and looked out. There was just a 'wow' factor.
"It is not the best stadium in the world, but when the fans get in there, there is such passion. It is do-or-die and I found it inspiring."
