Rony upset with Manchester rain

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo admits that he hates the British weather.

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo admits that he hates the British weather but has stressed he is happy to stay at Old Trafford.

The Portugal prodigy has hit top form in 2006 and is on the short-list for the PFA Players' Young Player of the Year award.

Despite signing a new contract this term, speculation continues to surround his future with the ex-Sporting Lisbon ace admitting he would like to test himself in La Liga.

However, Ronaldo has informed Sky Sports News that his only worry in England is Manchester's notoriously wet weather.

"I like to play for Manchester - better than [I like] the weather," said the 21-year-old.

"The weather is very difficult for me because you see snow, every time, and rain.

"It's difficult compared to Portugal, where you see sun every day, which is why it's difficult for me.

"But the club is massive and I'm very happy for staying here."

Ronaldo is likely to play a key role in the remaining games of the Premiership season before parading his talents on the biggest stage of all with Portugal in Germany this summer.
