Sanogo in Bremen link

Werder Bremen are reportedly interested in Kaiserslautern striker Boubacar Sanogo.

Werder Bremen are reportedly interested in Kaiserslautern striker Boubacar Sanogo.

The Ivory Coast man, recently voted the Bundesliga player of the month for February, has been linked with high-flying Bremen after banging in 12 goals this season for the relegation-threatened Kaiserslautern.

"I am flattered to be linked with Werder Bremen," he told skysports.com.

"But I am waiting until the end of the season to see what my options are."

Although Sanogo has been in such good form at club level, he played down his chances of going to this summer's World Cup.

"I am thinking about the Ivory Coast squad and I am hoping to be called," said the 23-year-old.

"Even if it is too late to make the squad I am sure I will get my chance to play for the national team after the World Cup."
