Diogo unsure of future

Carlos Diogo will accept any decision Real Madrid make about his future.

Real Madrid defender Carlos Diogo has revealed that he would accept any decision the club makes about his future.

The Uruguayan, who was brought to the Bernabeu last summer to provide cover at right back, has failed to establish himself this season and could be set for a premature exit.

The 23-year-old is eager to force his way into Real's starting XI on a regular basis, but admits that may not be possible, leaving him with a tricky decision to make regarding his future.

"My situation is not very good but I have to learn from these type of moments," he explained.

"This is a great club and I would love to have more chances to play, but I will accept any decision the club takes.

"But of course I want to play because that is the most important thing for any football player.

"At times I have felt really bad but I always train hard in case a chance comes along."

Diogo also expressed his surprise at Real's disappointing season, which has left them without any silverware once again.

"When I arrived at Real Madrid, I thought we would be fighting for the title at this stage of the season," he commented.

"We are all responsible for what has happened but now is the time to look forward."
